Rey Martinez has over two decades of digital, social, and integrated experience under his belt. He is currently a Creative Director at FCB (his second stint!) working across three lines of business on the Florida Blue account.
In his past work lives, he served as Creative Director at Atmosphere BBDO leading initiatives for Visa, HP, Citi, Emirates, Franklin Templeton, and Doctors Without Borders.
Prior to that, Rey spent 6 years at Digitas working on award-winning initiatives for American Express, including The Amex Sync Show Starring Jay-Z, My Movie Pitch for Tribeca Film, Unstaged, and Small Business Saturday. Rey was also the driving force behind one of the most successful character-driven Facebook campaigns for T.G.I. Friday’s. As part of the new business team, Rey was instrumental in securing agency wins on Chili’s, Uniqlo, and Samsung USA.
Earlier in his career, Rey helped establish the iconic City Harvest campaign during his 5-year stint as a copywriter at Draft/FCB. He also cut his teeth on integrated work for Qwest, US Postal Service, Gevalia, and more.
When he’s not concepting, writing, mentoring, or pitching, Rey likes to focus group work on his loving family. As a lifelong gamer, voracious reader, and expert on all things Star Wars, he can often be found perusing retro gaming devices, debating fellow word nerds, and making questionable purchases at the nearest sci-fi/comic convention.
